Intel i219 v gigabit lan6/2/2023 ![]() ![]() Uname FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE d48fb226319(devel-12) pfSense amd64 I could be doing something wrong as I am a first time user of pfSense and I basically spent all weekend learning how to compile drivers and digging into these complexities. I'm wondering if I have an unsupported version of the I219-V as it calls it " Ethernet Connection (14) I219-V" in the pciconf. ![]() When I tried to do the same with Intel's latest 7.7.8 drivers and adding the if_em.ko to the kernel and if_em_load="YES" to the, the driver still didn't attach to the NIC.Īlso, when I checked with kldstat, the if_em.ko was not listed. ![]() I was able to get the Realtek working after compiling them on a Hyper-V setup using FreeBSD 12.2-Stable and git cloning pfSense's RELENG_2_5_0 src branch and rebuilding the world and kernel from that. I've been trying to get this to work on the 2.5.0 release. I got a newly released ASRock Z590-ITX/ax that has two onboard NICs, a Realtek Dragon RTL8125BG and Intel I219-V.
